As a general rule, deliveries will be completed the next business day, Monday to Friday. In rural areas it is usual for deliveries to require an extra day or even two. If your order was placed after 1 pm Monday to Friday, we won’t be able to get it on a courier collection until the following business day, although we do endeavour to get every order picked for the last collection. There are no courier collections on the weekends so an order placed Friday afternoon will most likely be sent Monday morning.
There’s a general recommended best before date on each of our bags. The more precise answer is dependent on grind and brew method. Beans last longer than ground coffee because they have the least surface area for oxidisation. If you do need to buy pre-ground coffee, the finer the grind will indicate a shorter recommendation timeframe to use it within. For example, espresso ground coffee’s flavour, while not posing a health risk, will deteriorate the quickest because it is the finer grind (which has the greatest surface area to oxidise) and the brew method is the most impacted by the resulting deterioration in the coffee. Conversely, plunger coffee, because of its coarser grind and infusion brew style, will keep the longest. So if you are brewing espresso, try to order fresh coffee every fortnight or so, and if you are ‘plunging’ you can be a little more relaxed.
In an airtight container in a cool, dark place. The bags that coffee come in are often a great option – certainly ours are, and we stock a range of fancy containers which are reusable and perfect for the job. Avoid the fridge or freezer and light if possible.
Just head to the shop section of our website and select what you are looking for. You can shop as a guest, but to earn rewards you have to create a profile and login so that the points get attributed to your profile.
A very small number of people are experiencing issues selecting a quantity other than 1 or 250g, regardless of browser or computer settings. Using incognito mode or a smartphone usually avoids this issue.
We currently offer both Windcave and PayPal. The option is presented towards the end of the checkout process. However, please note that subscription orders require PayPal. The app that automates subscriptions only integrates with PayPal which is why subscriptions do not work with either Windcave or reward coupons.
Purchases earn points. Points can be redeemed for coupons via the reward section in the bottom right of the screen. The coupon code is used at checkout and provide either a $5, $10 or $20 discount off any purchase.
You will need to create a new profile on this new platform. It can be the same username and password if you wish, and takes about 45 seconds. Once you have created a profile on the new site, feel free to contact us and, if we have not already, we will gladly transfer existing points from the previous site across.
